Kayak Tours

Marsh Creek Tour: Join us for a relaxed exploration of the rivers and creeks that wind through these sheltered, gorgeous and largely undeveloped marshlands! Depending on tide and wind, we'll explore waterways in Skidaway Island State Park, the Moon River, Shipyard Creek, or the Isle of Hope River and Freedom Creek. Lower tides limit where we can go a bit, but offer many chances to observe egrets and herons hunting on the mudflats and to listen to the oysters "pop". On higher tides we can paddle straight across the marsh!

We commonly see dolphin, a wide variety of wading birds, perhaps eagles, osprey, or even a sea turtle.

3 hours, $260 1-4 people, $65 each additional person, limit of 10 people.

Ebenezer Creek tour: One of our favorite paddles is Ebenezer Creek, a blackwater creek tributary of the Savannah River about 35 minutes from downtown.

Here ancient dwarf bald cypress with huge buttresses tower over highly reflective water and typical wildlife might include pileated woodpeckers, red-shouldered hawks, barred owls, swallow-tailed kites, many varieties of songbirds - and perhaps a gator. The current is very mild and the trees offer sunshade and windbreak. If the water is high, a paddle among the old-growth tupelo forest is a special treat.

3 hours, $300 1-4 people, $75 each additional person, limit of 10 people.

4 hours, $400 1-4 people, $100 each additional person, limit of 10 people.
